Dr. Jordi Martín Avià

Dr. Jordi Martín is an ophthalmologist with a long career as a specialist in retina and complex eye surgery. It is known for its proximity and honesty to the patient.
 
Since the end of the residence, he has been constantly updating its academic and practical training, through national and international master's degrees, and observerships in hospitals recognized in retinal surgery in Barcelona, Mexico and Germany.
 
He is responsible for the Retina and Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit of the Xarxa Santa Tecla de Tarragona, with more than 1,000 retinal surgeries as chief surgeon.
 
His recent professional progress culminates with the doctoral thesis in 2019, which deals with safety during retinal surgical training, a way to ensure the patient's health and the full competence of the surgeon.
